Black Dog Business Support

It is estimated British businesses lose £35 billion per year due to mental ill health, loss of productivity and 'presenteeism'

(Mental health at work: The business costs ten years on, 2017). That's £1,300 for every UK employee.

Be proactive, diligent and safeguard against ill health in the workplace.

Black Dog Therapy provides support and expertise to keep employees productive and well at work. Offering tailor-made packages to improve employee wellbeing and to address specific issues such as increased stress in the workplace. Training, workshops and individual therapy can be delivered either at Black Dog Therapy, your offices or an external venue.

Workshops and Training
Interactive sessions on mindfulness, mental health and work/life balance aim to facilitate meaningful conversations within the workplace and enable your employees to understand the signs and symptoms of common mental health difficulties. These sessions provide a platform to discuss coping strategies, try tools and ultimately empower your employees and teams to look after their wellbeing at work and at home.

Packages range from 1-2 hour sessions on mindfulness and mental health (with practical, guided mindfulness exercises) to a whole (or two half day) workshop to enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of mindfulness and mental health.

The 1 day (or 2 half days) workshop includes a mindfulness workbook for participants to keep as a reference guide. This workbook also includes links to recordings of the practices covered during the day so participants can continue using the resources and practices after the workshop. The content of each package is bespoke to your company's needs and will be agreed prior to booking.

Individual therapy
Providing confidential individual therapy to support your employees back to work during and following absence due to stress, anxiety, depression or change in circumstances.
Black Dog Therapy can sensitively liaise between HR, GP’s and managers, providing input into return to work plans and advising regarding potential adjustments in the workplace to ensure a sustainable transition back to work.
