Mindfulness

Mindfulness and hypnosis are both considered focused states of awareness. In mindfulness we focus our awareness on settling into ourselves, coming back into our bodies, and being in the moment.

It’s too easy these days to live from the neck up, consumed by thoughts of ‘what if’ and worries of ‘what has been’.

Mindfulness teaches us to notice and embrace each moment, using our senses, without getting caught up in judgement and mind-chatter.

These sessions allow you to experience positive change whilst truly coming back into your body and feeling centred and grounded within yourself. It can be a safe place to begin therapy if you are anxious or have experienced trauma in the past. It is a gentle way to explore how your body experiences emotions and events moment to moment.

Mindfulness can be offered as part of other sessions such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and blends beautifully with Havening, EFT and Hypnosis.

Sample Mindful Meditation: The Mountain

This is my favourite mindful meditation. The Mountain reminds us how to remain strong and resilient in times of change. This was recorded live as an evening meditation for my clients and Facebook followers; feel free to use this as a resource. This beautiful meditation, originally written by Jon Kabat-Zinn is just one of the mindfulness practices that you will experience in the 6 week Mindful Hypnosis group.

"I have had considerable and unexpected benefit"
Claire M.

“I have had considerable and unexpected benefit from attending the group sessions, whilst I obviously had an expectation of a positive experience, as the sessions continued I felt a growing benefit, a want for and need and calm and content from being mindful and setting time each day to dedicate to it. I felt the positive effects, sometimes subtle but definite in the couple of days after a session mainly.

With hindsight it could have not come at a better time with the current challenges in the world and the isolation we are all taking part in, who would have known, but so pleased it was started and completed, an asset for sure. Good karma…”
